Twelve governors suspend physician supervision of CRNAs

In response to the urgent need for clinicians who can work to the full extent of their licenses and training, 12 state governors have issued executive orders to suspend restrictions on full scope of practice for certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) and some other APRNs. The nature of the suspensions—which APRNs are covered and under what circumstances—differs from state to state.
