2019 Salary and Compensation Study for Nurse Leaders
Nursing leadership is a diverse profession, reflecting a variety of educational and demographic backgrounds, job titles, reporting structures and salaries and compensation levels. At the same time, certain key themes illustrate commonality among nurse leaders and core trends for their compensation.
Continuing its commitment to advancing the development of current and emerging nurse leaders, AONL conducted a salary and compensation survey of more than 2,000 nurse leaders in 2019.
The results were used to develop a descriptive study portraying salary and compensation according to various demographic factors, including:
- Education and experience
- Supervisory responsibility
- Organization size and setting
- Geographic region
The report additionally sheds light on other components of a nursing leadership career, such as employer benefits, job satisfaction and personal fulfillment.
