White House urges national action to prevent overdose deaths

President Biden last week announced the White House Challenge to Save Lives From Overdose, a national call to action for the public and private sectors to increase training on, and access to, life-saving opioid overdose reversal medications for communities, employees and customers. Leaders can take simple steps such as training employees on opioid overdose reversal medications, keeping the medications in first aid kits and distributing the medications to employees so they might save a life at home, work or in their communities. Organizations may commit to action and share how their efforts have saved a life. More information is available on a White House website. (The White House Fact Sheet, 3/13/24)
