Smart environments, robots could improve infection prevention

Infection prevention control practices within hospitals generally do not rely on automation and robotic technology, even though they could improve infection prevention control, a study found. To increase awareness and adoption of the technologies, the researchers suggest conducting training and involving infection prevention professionals in the design process. The systematic review included 17 articles published between January 2016 and October 2022. (Journal of Infection Control article, 3/14/23)
