Senate bills invest in nursing research, education and workforce

Fiscal year 2021 spending bills released this week by the Senate Appropriations Committee contain increased funding for several nursing priorities. These include Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs, which received a $6 million increase, and funding for the National Institute of Nursing Research, which received a nearly $9 million increase.
