President Signs Bipartisan Legislation to Reduce Gun Violence

The president last week signed bipartisan legislation to reduce gun violence in communities. The AONL- and American Hospital Association-supported bill includes behavioral health provisions, such as funding for school safety resources, school-based supportive services and expanded access to telehealth for mental and behavioral health services. Biden called the measures the “most significant” gun safety legislation in 30 years. Last week, the Senate passed the bill by a vote of 65-33, and the House passed it by a vote of 234-193.
