Federal committee nomination opportunities available

The Health Resources and Services Administration seeks nominations for its Advisory Committee on Interdisciplinary, Community-Based Linkages. The deadline to nominate potential candidates is June 8. In addition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention seeks nominations for its Advisory Committee to the Director. The CDC wants members with expertise in public health, global health, health disparities, biomedical research and public health disciplines. The deadline to nominate potential candidates is May 18. Nurses who are interested in serving on the committees should email Nicole Huber, government affairs and policy assistant at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, or fill out a survey. The AACN convenes the Ad Hoc Nomination Consortium, which identifies and nominates nursing experts to serve on federal committees, taskforces, councils and boards. (Federal Register notice, 5/5/23)
