AHRQ, PCORI seek applicants to become health systems scientists

An initiative seeks qualified applicants who want to become the next generation of learning health system scientists. A joint program of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, the two organizations will invest up to $50 million over five years to train a new class of learning health system scientists through the creation of Learning Health System Embedded Scientist Training and Research Centers. Learning health systems collect and analyze data and experience from diverse sources to generate the best evidence to improve care and health outcomes. Applications are due March 24.
