AHA to host screening of Toxic: A Black Woman’s Story

On July 28, the American Hospital Association (AHA) and Premier will virtually screen Toxic: A Black Woman’s Story 2:00-3:30 ET. The documentary explores underlying factors, including toxic stress, racial inequities, unconscious bias and microaggressions influencing the health of Black women and their birth outcomes. After the showing, Lauren Nunally, manager, women and infant services, strategic collaboratives at Premier in Charlotte, N.C., and Aisha Syeda, senior program manager, AHA, will lead a discussion about improving maternal health equity. Hospital leaders will share how their organizations are addressing maternal health equity. Registration is required in advance.
