Nurses join climate change protests

Nurses joined activists and concerned citizens in last week’s protests to urge action on climate change. Having witnessed the health effects of climate change in their clinics, on mission trips and following extreme weather events, more nurses are bringing their voices to the issue. Prior to the various climate actions, organizers in the United States predicted that students and scientists would have the strongest presence at major rallies, followed by nurses and other health care workers.
