AONL 2022 highlights DEI, well-being and micro learning

Among the many messages conveyed at AONL 2022, three found the spotlight in a HealthLeaders Media recap. First, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) must become part of an organization’s culture, and that requires embedding DEI across programs and policies and setting up governance structures that empower DEI leaders. Second, prioritizing nurse well-being means making resources easy to access, even when it entails hiring mental health professionals to counsel staff while they await access to a regular provider. Third, just-in-time micro learning has proven effective for clinicians. The annual conference was held last week in San Antonio with more than 3,000 in attendance.
