NCSBN to launch center for regulatory scholarship

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) will launch the International Center for Regulatory Scholarship this fall to develop leaders in nursing and health professional regulation. According to NCSBN, there is little formal academic training related to regulation, and the groups’ members are looking for educational opportunities that will span their regulatory careers and enrich their professional networks. The center aims to provide “a well-rounded education program” that will “cultivate leaders who understand the importance of relationships and strategic alliances that can open new avenues for regulatory reform and increased public protection.”
