Below is information that will guide you throughout the presentation process and ensure you have the tools to get the most out of this professional development opportunity.

Presentation Template

All Ignite sessions must use the AONL 2024 Conference PowerPoint template.

Important Dates

Feb. 15: Early bird registration rate ends. Click here to register.  Enter the discount code SPK20234. A direct link to the housing site will be included with your registration confirmation. AONL does not book hotel reservations on your behalf.

Mar. 1: Submit first draft of presentation to Kourtney Sproat at ksproat@aha.org.

Mar. 14: Hotel rate cut-off. AONL rates are available until March 14 or until the room block sells out. Registration does not guarantee room availability. Housing questions? Contact kbhousing@keybookings.org or 877-205-2871.

March 25: Send final presentation to ksproat@aha.org. The final presentation file will be set to auto-advance and will be assigned to your session room in New Orleans. In addition, please complete the brief survey linked here to provide information for your introduction by March 25.

By April 6: Create profile in the AONL 2024 mobile app.

April 8-11: AONL 2024: Inspiring Leaders. Check in to speaker ready room at least one day prior to session. Presenters will be asked to verify slide deck.

Hotel Accommodations

Key Bookings is the only official housing bureau of AONL 2024. The discounted block spans a variety of hotels within walking distance of the conference venue, Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Hotel rates are available until March 14, 2024 or until the room block sells out. Availability at the conference hotels is limited. Meeting registration does not guarantee room availability. Key Bookings is the only official housing bureau of AONL 2024 and other companies may not provide the prices, service and reliability available from Key Bookings. If you as an attendee are contacted by ANY company except Key Bookings or AONL about hotel reservations for the AONL 2024, please inform AONL at aonlannualconference@aha.org. AONL shall not be responsible for any damages or costs related to any hotel reservations made via an unauthorized solicitation of hotel reservations.

Traveling to New Orleans

Speakers are responsible for making their own arrangements and covering the expenses connected to traveling to AONL 2024.

AONL/AHA offers special air travel discounts for all registered attendees. Contact one of our preferred vendors directly to receive these special fares.

Session Logistics and Session Flow

Please plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to your session. There will be signage and wayfinding staff assigned to assist presenters and attendees in finding tables and topics.

  • Total Session Time: 50 minutes
  • AONL to introduce concept to audience - 3 min
  • Each presenter introduction - 30 seconds
  • Presentations - 10 min each
  • Audience selects group - 3 min
  • Group discussions - 13-17 min
  • Wrap up shared by presenter (interesting comments, new ideas) -  1 min each

Meeting Room Set-Up and Audio/Visual Q&A

Most session meeting rooms will have theater-style seating.

In the front of each room, there will be a small riser (if space allows) and podium lectern. 

To request special or alternate accommodations please contact Kourtney Sproat.

All of the session rooms will have the following standard AV:

  • Two microphones. Depending upon the room, there may be one podium microphone and wireless lavaliere microphone, OR two wireless lavaliere microphones available.
  • Projection screen and projector
  • Projector has HDMI and VGA capabilities
  • Laptops and wireless Internet access will be provided. 
  • Computers in meeting rooms will be provided.
